Abstract
We present a new solution to convert polynomial B-splines. This stepwise operating algorithm can be understood as an appropriate combination of a degree reduction method for Bézier curves resp. surfaces and a knot removal strategy for B-splines. These two basic methods were developed separately in recent papers of the authors.
